   You are. You didn’t read the article, obviously, or are simply incapable of comprehending anything more complex than an Obama bumpersticker… and your ignorance of the details of the incident is equally obvious. You feel qualified to state your unfounded opinions while ignoring the documented facts and the testimony of people that actually might know what the fuck they’re talking about.

   Read what Teddy said he did. Read what the diver said. Or scan and post your certifications in rescue diving or some other indicator you’re not just talking out your ass, as fucking usual.

   I take it that you believe Farrar testimony that Kopechne “lived for at least two hours down there.” It’s true that Farrar BELIEVED that Kopechne “lived for at least two hours down there.”

   But there was no evidence in the article to suggest whether this belief was founded or not. Had Kopechne survived the initial overturning and submerging of the car, why did she not follow Ted Kennedy out of the car – within the two hours after the incident?

   Perhaps she was too injured or disoriented, or “pressed up in the car in the spot where an air bubble would have formed’ to do so. Had, Mary Jo lost consciousness at any time while in the car she would be in danger of drowning.

   Also note that it was “pressed up in the car in the spot where an air bubble WOULD have formed.” This means one of two things since there was no air bubble when Farrar discovered Mary Jo’s body.

   1: There was no air bubble in the first place – making drowning more likely.
   2: That there was an air bubble, but the air had somehow escaped the car. Mary Jo,- had she been in full command of her faculties at the time, despite her ordeal- would have been able to survive for several minutes after all the air escape by holding her breath.
   Since the diver estimates that she may have survived for up to two hours within that potential air bubble, What was she doing in that time?
   I doubt she was whistling Dixie. More likely, she was suffering from her injuries, being disoriented or even concussed. She may have been unconscious.
   In any case, if she slipped her head under water for even a minute, she may have drowned.

   Further more, How long do you expect it would take for a senior of Ted Kennedy’s physique to swim the “500-foot channel”, find and run to the nearest phone and call for help?

   I read what Ted Kennedy said he did.. and I don’t believe him. I read what Farrar believed, and while I think he was being completely honest, I think he was a tad optimistic.

   I don’t need a diver’s certification to understand how quickly someone can drown. Maybe you do.

   You have an annoying habit of focusing on non-sequitur minutiae, which I’ve found is a coping mechanism for Lib’tards… Focus on the bonsai, and you can overlook the forest of your delusional beliefs, avoiding the negative stimuli known as reality.

   Kennedy fucked off for hours after escaping the vehicle. Point, not debatable. There’s a possibility that Mary Jo was alive long enough that had help been promptly summoned she could have survived. Point, supported by divers testimony, and no matter how you might squirm and quibble his opinion is worth more than yours.

   Kennedy was a fucking scumbag, worried more about his political viability than the life of a human being. His noble *snort of derision* crusades on behalf of Libtardianism do nothing to mitigate that simple fact.

   Griz: I am not arguing that Ted Kennedy did anything right in this incident. I agree with you that “Kennedy fucked off for hours after escaping the vehicle.” and that “Kennedy was a fucking scumbag, worried more about his political viability than the life of a human being” in terms of this manslaughter.

   Obviously, the diver’s (Farrar) would be taken over mine in a court of law in this case as he was actually involved with the incidence. That is why I said the I think he was too optimistic – not that he was wrong.

   If there was an air bubble in the overturned and submerged car, then Farrar would have testified that there was an air bubble. Instead he testified that Mary Jo was “pressed up in the car in the spot where an air bubble would have formed’. This is not a non-sequitur minutiae. This is a fact that any credible cop, lawyer or forensic personel would pick up on.

   Also, regardless of the trauma that Mary Jo endured, had she been able to, would she have not tried to save herself within those two hours that Farrar believed that may have lived for?

   A car is not that big, and any opening that Ted Kennedy can escape from would have been large enough to allow Mary Jo to slip out of – unless of course that opening was obstructed by the final position of the sunken car.

   The “negative stimuli known as reality” in this case is that there is a very good possibility that Mary Jo Kopechne would have been dead even if Ted Kennedy acted like a human being and called for aid immediately.

   Frankly, I’m not the one who “overlook the forest of your delusional beliefs, avoiding the negative stimuli known as reality”. You are.

   From your post, it seems that you believe that I was actually defending Ted Kennedy even though I posted “I read what Ted Kennedy said he did.. and I don’t believe him” or “Ted Kennedy’s actiions are reprehensible” or “Ted Kennedy’s drunk driving that cause the death of Mary Jo Kopeknic. It is utterly inexcusable and detestable”.

   Brush up on your comprehension skills Griz. It will do you a world on wonder.

   If you’re not “arguing that Ted Kennedy did anything right in this incident” and agree with me that “Kennedy fucked off for hours after escaping the vehicle”, etc. then there’s nothing in the little details I care to argue about.

   The Joker always represented random chaos and anarchy. Socialism is all about order and layer upon layer of bureaucracy. I don’t think The Joker’s utopia would involve a socialist government. Also I know this picture is a slam against Obama but why pick the coolest comic book villain ever, why not use some one a little less awesome from Batman’s rogue gallery like The Penguin, Scarface, or Mr. Freeze ? I know it isn’t racist but a lot of people aren’t very cool with the idea of putting a man with dark skin in white face.
